Frikkie, a former Commerce graduate from the University of Stellenbosch, brings a wealth of knowledge from various industries, including agriculture, education, retail, and financial markets. With experience as a lecturer in Financial Management and Entrepreneurship, Frikkie now channels his expertise into strategic support for business development. Passionate about empowering entrepreneurs, Frikkie is dedicated to fostering innovative thinking, ethical business practices, and successful ventures. In a world where multinational corporations often fall short in job creation, Frikkie champions the efforts of entrepreneurs, helping them save economies and secure futures for young graduates and aspiring business owners.

Bathandwa Daniels-Qobo
Bathandwa is a purpose-driven leader, entrepreneur, author and professional with a strong background in culture transformation, emotional intelligence, wellness coaching, leadership development and training. She holds a Masters Degree in Leadership and Management, and a Certificate in Strategy Management & Corporate Governance.
Her entrepreneurial experience has provided her with practical insight into building and leading organisations, managing people, navigating change and sustaining performance. Within the Enovate Ecosystem, Bathandwa brings a valuable combination of entrepreneurial experience, leadership capability, people development, organisational transformation and strategic thinking. Her contribution reinforces an important Enovate principle: Sustainable transformation is not achieved by changing ownership alone. It is achieved by developing the people, leadership, capabilities and culture required to make that transformation succeed.
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR
PATRICIA HERSELMAN
Patricia is a seasoned specialist in financial and management accounting, boasting a BCom degree and a post-graduate Higher Education diploma (HED). With over 26 years of experience in teaching and lecturing, she has contributed significantly to various educational institutions, including a business school offering instruction in diverse qualifications such as Unisa’s BCompt degree, as well as CIMA and ICB programs. Her expertise extends across different syllabi, encompassing online tuition for students from various institutions and programs at all levels. In recent years, alongside her continued involvement in online lecturing, Patricia has ventured into the realm of business development with Enovate. In this capacity, she has provided invaluable financial analysis services to businesses seeking expansion financing, collaborating closely with the Enovate team to develop and monitor business plans, ultimately facilitating the realisation of their growth potential.
HEAD – AGRICULTURE TRANSFORMATION & RURAL DEVELOPMENT
DR BENJAMIN MALAKOANE
Dr Benjamin Malakoane brings more than 15 years of experience across municipal, provincial government and public-entity environments, with extensive expertise in governance, public administration, compliance, strategic oversight and transformational leadership. His career has included strategic executive authority responsibilities across the Free State Departments of Economic and Small Business Development, Health and Agriculture.
Dr Malakoane brings a strong understanding of the legislative, regulatory and institutional environment within which public-sector programmes and agricultural transformation initiatives must operate. He has developed a strong grounding in business economics, project cost optimisation and risk management, together with extensive experience in senior management, administration and oversight. His connection to agriculture extends beyond governance and public administration. During his tenure as an executive authority responsible for the Free State Department of Agriculture, he developed direct insight into the challenges and opportunities surrounding agricultural development and transformation, and was awarded an Honorary National Diploma in Agriculture from Glen College of Agriculture. Within the Enovate Ecosystem, Dr Malakoane will play a strategic role in strengthening the interface between agricultural enterprise, transformation, government, rural development and long-term sustainability.
Director of Operations and Risk Management
Rick Dillon
Rick Dillon has over 30 years of experience in agriculture, combining technical expertise with innovative risk management. He holds a Diploma, BSc, and MSc in Agriculture from the University of Natal. He has worked in land-use planning, agricultural finance, and risk management, including roles as Director of SA Farm Consultants, Land Reform Advisor, and developer of banking products like Supply Chain Lending. He introduced Index Insurance to South African agriculture and managed large risk portfolios. At Enovate Business Intelligence, Rick designs risk-financing products to support distressed farming enterprises. He is also a full-time livestock farmer and serves in leadership roles within agricultural conservancies and associations.
Head of Strategic Advisory and Business Consulting
ANDREW WAINWRIGHT
Andrew Wainwright is a seasoned business strategist with over 25 years experience in FMCG, retail, wholesale, and sales & distribution. He holds degrees in Business Management, Industrial Psychology, and Strategic Management from the University of Stellenbosch and certifications in Innovation Leadership and Life Coaching. Andrew focuses on driving sustainable business transformation by balancing profitability with culture and internal alignment. He has held senior roles in major corporations and consulting projects, with a passion for empowering SMMEs and developing the township economy. Key skills include strategic planning, business turnarounds, sales leadership, innovation, change management, and coaching. He founded Community Business Owners (CBO) in 2021 to mentor and support small and township-based enterprises. As Head of Strategic Advisory at Enovate, Andrew leads efforts to help clients restructure and rebuild profitable, sustainable businesses.
